Alan started in the business in January of 1990 as a producer for County Wide Insurance Agency. Initially working in a small outlying office, Alan developed his sales as well as his ability to manage the office workflow and promotions. After coming to the Dexter office in 1993, Alan developed his risk management skills with a strong focus in commercial and business insurance, as well as agency technology development. Alan is committed service of the insurance industry as well as the community. He has serviced as a Past-President of the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents and a member of the Agency Council for Technology, with the National Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, Inc. He also holds various other civic positions in his church and community.
A life long resident of Stoddard County, Jason graduated from Dexter High School in 1996. He then went to college at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, with Business Administration as his desired major. After college, he returned to Dexter and was with Holden Pallet & Lumber for seven years as plant manager. Jason joined the County Wide team in January 2005 and has spent most of his time focusing on commercial property, commercial casualty and all agriculture products. Coming from a blue collar background, Jason will always roll up his sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done and that is the message he wants to send to all of his customers. Very active in the community, Jason has coached little league football for over ten years and he is one of the voices of Dexter Bearcat Football on 102.3 KDEX, along with Rob Mayer, Alan Hedrick and Bret Dorton. He makes his home in Dexter with his wife Cristi, and children Maci, Cali and Jase.
Zach joined the County Wide team in 2013 after working many summers in an intern position for the agency. After completing his degree at Arkansas State University, Zach spent the summer of 2013 as an intern for Representative Rick Crawford in Washington D.C.. He began working full time on the commercial team assisting with renewals, marketing and customer service in the Fall of 2013. Zach is a graduate of the Hartford School of Insurance and will begin his Certified Insurance Counselors designation the Fall of 2014. He attended Dexter Public Schools and plans to make his home here in Dexter.
Sharon is the Commercial Lines manager for County Wide Insurance. She has over twenty years of experience in the insurance industry and has been with the company since 1998. Sharon strives to provide the best service to County Wide customers by regularly attending commercial lines CIC classes. Her hobbies include spending time with her children, grandchildren and gardening.
Tish Gentry became a part of the County Wide Staff in August of 2013. She brings 12 years of business ownership and 5 years of Insurance experience to the Commercial Department. Tish is blessed to be the wife of Bryan Gentry, mother of six , and grandmother of 8. Tish and her family are actively involved with their church family at Living Water Worship Center in Bloomfield and ministry leaders for Celebrate Recovery there. When not occupied with these responsibilities, Tish enjoys spending the day at the 'most beautiful and peaceful place on earth', Current River. Tish thrives on information and will do her best to guide you in choosing the coverage that will protect you and your business in the event that a loss occurs.
Kaylin was instantly hired when she interviewed for a job with County Wide based upon her smile and sweet spirit. She quickly proved to be an asset beyond her joyful ways, as she continues to grow and expand her abilities in the agency. As a part-time student, Kaylin works flexible hours throughout the week but can be counted on to handle any of your business insurance needs. She is originally from Grand Chain IL, a small community along the banks of the Ohio River. Kaylin is a graduate of Bloomfield High School and loves Southeast Missouri. Her favorite activities are riding horses and shopping.
A life long resident of Stoddard County, Marla is a graduate of Dexter High School and has been married to her best friend, Dallas, for 37 years and to this union they have one daughter, one son and two granddaughters. Marla joined the County Wide Ins team in 1994 as the file clerk, got her insurance license in 1995 and she is now the Office Manager along with taking care of the accounting for County Wide Insurance. Marla enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time she like to shop the flea markets and antique shops allowing her to be creative in home decorating.
Dave Ellinghouse was born and raised in Piedmont, Missouri. He has a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University. From 2002 to 2008, he worked in long term care as a nursing home administrator and prior to that taught high school mathematics at Bloomfield High School for three years. Dave currently serves as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Dexter and serves on the Keller Public Library Board. Dave and his wife Amy are the proud parents of Andrew and Anna. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, friends and church family. Dave also coaches his son's little league sports teams and enjoys playing golf.
Kay brings to County Wide a wealth of knowledge and experience in the insurance industry. She began her career with the Ben Cowan Agency after graduating Dexter High School. She and Jim Tate later transitioned to County Wide in 1987, when the two agencies combined their insurance offices. After a few years away from the area, Kay has returned to work in the Dexter office. She is very dedicated to her faith and serves in many capacities at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter.
Jayme grew up in Dexter and was a DHS Bearcat in the Class of 1979. Her career path took her to the great State of Texas in 1981 where she worked for years as an executive secretary in a law firm. She returned to Dexter in 2010 and became a member of the County Wide team shortly after. Jayme is a very dedicated brilliant lady that has a kind personality to guide customers through the insurance process. She enjoys volunteering with the Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Church and attending any sports related activities.
Cherie brings over twenty years of processing and office experience to the County Wide family. She started working in an accounting firm in the early 1980's when computer technology was just taking flight. Nearly three decades later, the explosive progress of data entry has given her the opportunity to work in a field of motivated learning that she truly enjoys. After several years of working in the data processing department verifying customer information from paper and digital formats, Cherie now works as an agent in our personal lines department. Cherie resides with husband, James in Dexter, MO. Her interests are fishing, antiques and the bevy of adopted strays that have come to their door.
Charlena Dorris is a native of Poplar Bluff and a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. Charlena joined the County Wide Team in 2016 as a sales producer of insurance products. She is able to assist customers with their personal insurance needs, but her true passion is business insurance. She has a strong business acumen and is anxious to assist business owners in the Poplar Bluff area with their risk management needs. Having entered the insurance business in 2015, it was apparent that Matt is a young man destined for success.
